The Athletics IT team supports student-athletes, coaches, staff, and volunteers within the UCI Intercollegiate Athletics department.
The IT team is responsible for promoting the adoption of technology that advances Athletics’ mission while providing department-specific technology services. Some examples include game-day and event technology support, specialized software management, web application development and integration, and mobility solutions.
The Athletics IT team also leads and coordinates the implementation of projects that involve vendors, Athletics coaches and staff, and other teams within the Office of Information Technology (OIT). Technology know-how and business analysis is provided for sports industry and campus-wide adopted technologies such as Paciolan, EMS, AirWatch, and Office365.
The UCI Intercollegiate Athletics department is comprised of over 125 coaches and staff and over 350 student-athletes, within 18 sports in the NCAA Division.
Athletics IT maintains information technology services across several facilities, including the Anteater Stadium, the Aquatics Complex, Bren Events Center, Cicerone Field at Anteater Ballpark, Crawford Court, Crawford Clubhouse, Crawford Field, Santora Elite Training Center, Tennis Stadium, Al Irwin Academic Center, Carlos A Prietto Sports Medicine Center, Intercollegiate Athletics Building, and Mesa Office Building.
